About the Role
Gloryland Group of Schools, a premier private educational institution established in 1986 in Ejigbo, Lagos State, is seeking a passionate and articulate Diction Teacher to join our dedicated academic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the communication skills and confidence of our nursery, primary, and secondary school students within a disciplined and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach proper diction, phonics, and speech arts to pupils across various grades.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that improve students' vocabulary, articulation, and public speaking abilities.
- Correct common mother tongue interference and phonetic errors during conversational and reading exercises.
- Prepare students for internal and external elocution competitions, debates, and school presentations.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Collaborate with other language and arts teachers to integrate effective communication skills across the curriculum.
- Minimum of an NCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor Degree in Education, English Language, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching phonics and diction in a reputable school environment.
- Exceptional command of the English language with impeccable listening and speaking skills.
