About the Role
We are inviting qualified and passionate Music Teachers to join Rex Christus College Kubwa, a prestigious Catholic secondary institution in Abuja. Since its establishment in 2010 by John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the college has earned recognition for its commitment to academic excellence, technological advancement, and moral character formation. With an enrollment of over 400 students across junior and senior secondary levels, we continue to provide quality education in a supportive and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the Nigerian curriculum for junior and senior secondary students
- Develop students' musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation for diverse musical traditions
- Plan and execute practical and theoretical music instruction using appropriate teaching methodologies
- Assess student progress through continuous evaluation and provide constructive feedback
- Organize and coordinate school music performances, concerts, and cultural events
- Maintain detailed records of student attendance and academic progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to the school's mission of developing well-rounded individuals with strong moral values
- Bachelor's degree in Education with specialization in Music (B.Ed, NCE, or equivalent qualification)
- PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) or equivalent teaching certification
- TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) registration (highly advantageous)
