About the Role
Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College (OSCCO), Osogbo is an elite, co-educational secondary school operating under the corporate proprietorship of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our esteemed academic community and deliver exceptional musical education to our secondary school students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, comprehensive music lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Instruct students in vocal and instrumental music, music theory, and history.
- Direct and train school choirs, bands, and musical ensembles for school events and liturgical services.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Foster a disciplined, creative, and inclusive learning environment that encourages artistic expression.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development programs, and extracurricular activities.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant teaching certification (such as TRCN) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument and strong vocal capability.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to academic excellence, moral discipline, and professional integrity.
- Prior teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting will be an added advantage.
