About the Role
PEFTI Film Institute Limited was established in 2004 by WALE ADENUGA PRODUCTIONS, Nigeria's Foremost Private Film and Television Production Company, to create opportunities for both green-horn aspirants and practitioners, to acquire proficient professional training in the diverse disciplines of Film, Television, and Music Production. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Music Lecturer specializing in Guitar to join our vibrant academic community in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the artistic journey of students by delivering engaging, industry-standard instruction and fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive guitar lessons tailored to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Design engaging lesson plans that cover guitar techniques, music theory, improvisation, and contemporary performance styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through practical examinations, assignments, and constructive feedback.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on career opportunities within the Nigerian and global music industries.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to organize student recitals, concerts, and collaborative multimedia projects.
- Stay updated with current trends in music education, production technologies, and industry standards.
- Possess a relevant academic degree in Music, Performing Arts, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in playing the guitar across various genres (e.g., Afrobeat, highlife, jazz, rock, classical).
- Proven experience in teaching, lecturing, or coaching aspiring musicians, preferably within a structured educational or creative institute.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills with a passion for youth development and creative mentorship.
