About the Role
Prime Montessori Nursery and Primary School (PMS) is dedicated to arresting the falling standard in the educational sector by providing qualitative and balanced education to all Nigerian children and the broader ECOWAS sub-region. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and skilled Music Instrument Tutors to join our vibrant academic community in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will inspire primary school pupils, cultivate their musical talents, and introduce them to the joy of playing musical instruments within a supportive and well-resourced learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach students how to play specific musical instruments, including the violin, flute, trumpet, cello, and guitar.
- Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to the learning pace and skill level of young children.
- Prepare students for school recitals, cultural events, and external music examinations.
- Maintain and care for school-owned musical instruments and equipment in the music studio.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
- Foster a love for music and creative expression among nursery and primary school students.
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two years of professional teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with young children.
- Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of at least one of the required instruments (violin, flute, trumpet, cello, or guitar).
- Exceptional patience, communication, and interpersonal skills suited for working with young learners.
- Ability to read musical notation and teach basic music theory alongside instrumental practice.
