About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy is seeking a vibrant and dedicated Music Instructor to join our dynamic team in providing first-class education. In this role, you will inspire young minds from preschool to primary levels, utilizing our blended curriculum framework. You will play a crucial role in cultivating musical appreciation, technical proficiency, and creative expression through personalized instruction and engaging classroom management.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons covering instruments such as the violin, keyboard, guitar, saxophone, and vocal training.
- Drive skill acquisition, individualized teaching, and vocal clarity in alignment with the DTA SHRID niche.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents.
- Prepare pupils for internal performances, school concerts, assemblies, and external music competitions.
- Maintain musical instruments and equipment while fostering an inclusive, stimulating learning studio environment.
- Serve as a Form Tutor or Class Teacher as assigned, overseeing the general welfare and academic progress of designated students.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching music to children in preschool and primary school environments.
- Proficiency in playing multiple musical instruments including keyboard, guitar, violin, or saxophone.
- Strong vocal training skills and an understanding of child development in education.
