BethâNeills Playhouse & Preschool, a premier faith-based early childhood education center in Calabar, Cross River State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Music Instructor. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Executive Officer Lucy O'Neill, our institution is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children thrive, learn, and develop at their individual paces through play-based education and creative exploration.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver age-appropriate music lessons and activities for preschool children
- Develop creative music curricula that align with early childhood development standards
- Foster children's musical expression through singing, rhythm instruments, and movement
- Create inclusive learning experiences that encourage participation and confidence
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into overall educational programs
- Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment that celebrates diverse musical interests
- Assess and track children's musical progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's musical growth and experiences
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc, B.Ed) or NCE qualification
- Proven experience in early childhood music education
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and genuine passion for working with young children
- Professional teaching certification or relevant credentials preferred
