About the Role
SENCO – Special Educational Needs and Consult Ltd is a specialized educational consultancy in Nigeria dedicated to redefining inclusive education and supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Operating through impactful initiatives like the SENCO Academy, we bridge critical gaps in the educational sector by offering expert-led training, comprehensive school support, and community advocacy. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Therapist to join our growing team at Blossom Hall School in Utako, Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate children with various special educational needs and developmental disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Provide specialized therapeutic interventions to improve communication, motor skills, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
- Maintain accurate progress reports and documentation for all children under your care.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and advocacy programs organized by the consultancy.
- Relevant degree or certification in Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists.
