We are currently recruiting a passionate and experienced Montessori Directress/Director on behalf of our client school to lead a dynamic learning environment and deliver exceptional early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Montessori classroom in strict accordance with authentic Montessori philosophy and principles.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and safe learning environment.
- Plan and facilitate daily activities supporting children's academic, social, emotional, and practical-life development.
- Observe, assess, and meticulously document students' individual progress and developmental milestones.
- Prepare regular student progress reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date classroom records.
- Supervise, guide, mentor, and support classroom assistants and junior teaching staff.
- Maintain rigorous standards of classroom management, discipline, health, hygiene, and child welfare.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing ongoing feedback and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
- Identify and appropriately escalate any developmental, behavioral, or learning concerns to leadership.
- Ensure all practices comply with school policies, safety guidelines, and child safeguarding standards.
- Participate actively in school events, co-curricular activities, and institutional programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a Montessori Directress/Director in a recognized preschool or Montessori environment.
- Possession of a recognized Montessori Diploma or Certificate from an accredited training institution.
- Comprehensive understanding of Montessori philosophy, materials, and classroom management techniques.
- Proven ability to supervise junior staff and foster positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Exceptional observation, documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Warm, patient, nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Strong knowledge of child safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene best practices.
- Proficiency in creative skills such as arts, crafts, and practical-life activities is an added advantage.
