About the Role
Smart Partners is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Training Officer to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging skills gaps, supporting employee professional growth, and aligning learning initiatives with our core business objectives. You will manage the end-to-end training lifecycle, ensuring our workforce remains highly skilled, motivated, and equipped to excel in a competitive corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough training needs assessments through performance reviews and skills-gap analysis.
- Design, develop, and coordinate comprehensive training programmes, workshops, and seminars.
- Prepare engaging learning resources, including presentations, manuals, and assessments.
- Facilitate learning sessions and coordinate external subject-matter experts.
- Manage training schedules, logistics, venues, participant communication, and budgets.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using established feedback and assessment methodologies.
- Maintain accurate learning records, attendance registers, and periodic programme reports.
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
- B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 4 to 5 years of proven experience in learning and development, training, or human resources.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual training software platforms.
- Strong organisational, project coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Professional HR or L&D certifications will be an added advantage.
