About the Role

The Youth and Women Peacebuilding Foundation (YAWP Foundation) is a dynamic Nigerian non-profit organization dedicated to building lasting peace, empowering vulnerable communities, and promoting social cohesion. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer (Volunteer) to design and maintain robust evaluation systems that amplify the voices of women and youth in fragile regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project-specific MEL frameworks, indicator tracking tables, and gender-sensitive logic models.
  • Design user-friendly digital data collection tools using platforms like KoboToolbox and ODK.
  • Oversee routine field monitoring activities, ensuring data integrity, ethical data handling, and adherence to safeguarding principles.
  • Establish and manage community feedback mechanisms and integrate Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) pathways.
  • Facilitate quarterly learning review sessions and draft comprehensive MEL sections for donor reports using qualitative impact methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Data Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Research Skills, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional or volunteer experience in evidence-based research, data analysis, or project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in digital data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK) and data analysis software (Excel, SPSS, or Stata).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gender-sensitive MEL methodologies, Most Significant Change, and outcome harvesting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills with a strong commitment to humanitarian and peacebuilding values.
