About the Role

Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE is a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, saving the lives of malnourished children, and providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Grants and Compliance Manager to oversee all critical aspects of the grant cycle from pre-award to post-award, ensuring strict donor compliance, timely reporting, and seamless internal and external coordination in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure internal and external reports including biweekly, APRs, quarterly, and interim or final reports are submitted on time, coherent, and accurately written.
  • Maintain comprehensive hard and soft grant portfolio files from inception to closeout, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible.
  • Lead preparations for Grant Opening, Closing, and regular monthly management meetings, compiling and following up on actionable points.
  • Monitor the implementation of programs in accordance with donor rules and ACF internal requirements, guiding project managers accordingly.
  • Manage information collection and context analysis, providing briefings and supporting scenario planning, risk analysis, and contingency plan reviews.
  • Support field-level project proposal development, stakeholder mapping, and advocacy engagement strategies under the supervision of the Field Coordinator.
  • Represent ACF externally and foster strategic partnerships with local NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, and government authorities like NEMA and SEMA.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (or higher) in International Development, Social Studies, Economics, Humanitarian Assistance, Rural Development, Geography, Agriculture, Livestock, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in a similar grants and compliance management role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of dedicated humanitarian sector experience.
  • Strong understanding of major donor rules, regulations, and compliance requirements in emergency contexts.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and cross-cultural coordination skills.
