About the Role
Steron Mining Company Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mines Production Manager to lead our mining operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee day-to-day production activities, optimize equipment utilization, and drive efficiency across our extraction processes while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive mine production planning and scheduling to achieve company targets.
- Oversee drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and ore extraction operations.
- Coordinate grade control, stockpiling, and equipment productivity optimization.
- Manage operational risks, mine ventilation, and dewatering activities effectively.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor cross-functional workforce and site teams.
- Collaborate closely with Geology, HSE, Engineering, and Security departments.
- Control operational costs, manage contractors, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and rigorous mine safety standards.
- B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant mining and production experience.
- Proven hands-on experience in the production of Lithium, Copper, or Zinc-Lead.
- Strong technical expertise in open-pit and/or underground mining operations.
- Demonstrated leadership and contractor management capabilities.
- Professional registration or membership with a recognized mining or engineering body is an added advantage.
