About the Role
Ntel is Nigeria's most revolutionary telecommunications company providing advanced 4G LTE network services. We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to establish, implement, and maintain our comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment framework across all company operations and sites. This is a foundational role where you will build the function from scratch, embedding a safety-first culture and ensuring full compliance with Nigerian regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a robust HSE management system aligned with Nigerian regulatory requirements and international best practices.
- Ensure full compliance with NCC, NESREA, and Federal Ministry of Environment standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and safety audits across all offices and technical sites.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and drive preventive and corrective actions.
- Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programmes, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills for staff and contractors.
- Manage environmental footprints, waste disposal, and fire protection system installations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or recognized equivalent.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within telecommunications, utilities, or regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated experience building an HSE function from the ground up and managing regulatory relationships.
- Active membership in professional bodies such as ISPON, IOSH, or NISP.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Nigerian HSE legislation.
