About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agribusiness with a global footprint and a deep understanding of market needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Miller to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing daily milling operations to ensure optimal plant efficiency, consistent product quality, and cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure efficient daily milling operations and maximize overall plant performance.
- Maintain product quality and extraction levels according to defined parameters.
- Execute production plans, monitor process performance, and track downtime.
- Troubleshoot milling issues proactively and optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, hygiene, GMP, QMS, FSMS, and 5S standards.
- Control operational costs, minimize process waste, and support cost-optimization initiatives.
- Lead, train, and manage milling teams to drive operational excellence and high performance.
- Manage vendor services, such as cleaning, waste disposal, and maintenance, cost-effectively.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Food Science.
- NABIMS certification or Diploma in Milling from a recognized milling school is preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in milling and feed product operations.
- Proven expertise in managing independent plant operations and leading diverse teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of milling processes, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination.
