About the Role
Maersk Group, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is seeking a skilled and proactive MHC Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic terminal operations team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee the maintenance, reliability, and safety of our Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHCs) and associated systems, ensuring seamless container operations and minimal equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of Mobile Harbour Cranes, spreaders, and auxiliary systems in compliance with OEM standards.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise crane technicians, electricians, and mechanics to ensure efficient task allocation and handovers.
- Analyze equipment breakdowns, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to optimize asset performance.
- Track and review key performance indicators including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, and PM/CM ratios.
- Enforce rigorous HSE standards, including toolbox talks, risk assessments, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting support for complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic crane systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing stock levels within the CMMS.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a supervisory maintenance role within a port, terminal, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), STEP 7 SIMATIC Manager, and SINAMICS drives.
- Demonstrated expertise in reading technical schematics and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM or IFS.
