About the Role
AgriFood Digital Library and Resource Center is seeking a qualified MERL Manager for a potential multi-year agricultural development programme aimed at strengthening ginger and sesame value chains in Nigeria. This role will lead monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting activities to ensure operational readiness, subject to project award and funding approval.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and operationalise state-level monitoring and performance tracking systems aligned with corporate MERL frameworks.
- Coordinate routine monitoring visits, ensure data quality, and maintain up-to-date indicator trackers and performance dashboards.
- Support baseline studies, surveys, and external evaluations including field logistics and quality assurance.
- Analyse monitoring data to prepare timely analytical summaries, progress reports, and donor updates.
- Document lessons learned, case studies, and best practices to facilitate adaptive management and continuous learning sessions.
- Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in monitoring, evaluation, and performance management within donor-funded programmes.
- Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using digital data collection platforms and tools like Power BI.
- Strong background in agricultural development, market systems, or rural livelihoods is highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, report-writing, and organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
