About the Role

Collection Developments is a forward-thinking real estate investment and management firm dedicated to transforming properties and creating vibrant spaces that deliver lasting commercial and social value. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven MEP Commissioning Engineer to join our expert team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will lead the comprehensive testing and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems across multiple building blocks and estate infrastructure, ensuring our developments meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the commissioning programme for all MEP systems across all blocks and estate infrastructure, timed for progressive handover.
  • Commission and test mechanical systems including plumbing, drainage, HVAC, water treatment plants, and sewage treatment plants.
  • Commission and test electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, power, metering, generators, and solar power installations.
  • Test specialist systems covering CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and IT and communications infrastructure.
  • Produce official commissioning certificates for each building system and coordinate the witnessing programme with consultants and statutory bodies.
  • Compile comprehensive MEP records into Operations and Maintenance Manuals and support Certificate of Occupancy applications.
  • Produce and issue detailed defects and snagging lists for all MEP systems identified during the commissioning phase.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; COREN registration is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall MEP experience with at least 4 years specifically focused on building services commissioning.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry-standard commissioning procedures across all mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing O&M manuals and supporting regulatory occupancy approvals.
  • Active membership in the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with a systematic, methodical approach to record-keeping and multi-building project management.
