About the Role
TransitEdge Solutions Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare documentation team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in converting audio files, physician notes, and diagnostic test results into accurate written records for our electronic health system. You will collaborate closely with medical professionals to ensure uncompromised patient care, flawless data entry, and timely report submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Convert transcribed diagnostic test results, medical procedures, and consultation notes into standardized report formats.
- Ensure uncompromised patient care by transcribing quickly and accurately while performing thorough editorial reviews.
- Translate medical abbreviations, acronyms, and specialized jargon into formal medical terminology.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within transcribed reports.
- Submit completed transcriptions to healthcare professionals for final approval in a timely manner.
- Proven professional work experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or in a similar healthcare documentation role.
- Demonstrated ability to transcribe accurately with a minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute.
- Familiarity with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software, including WebChartMD and PhraseExpander.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and standard editing practices.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills to support critical healthcare workflows.
- Post-secondary training or certification in medical transcription is highly preferred.
