About the Role

We are urgently seeking a dedicated Medical Supervisor to lead clinical and operational activities at our Cholera Treatment Unit (CTU) in Zango, Katsina, ensuring effective emergency health interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall clinical and operational oversight of the CTU, ensuring adherence to WHO and national cholera treatment protocols.
  • Supervise clinical staff, conduct bedside mentoring, and coordinate seamless patient flow from triage to discharge.
  • Ensure strict implementation of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures, proper waste management, and correct use of PPE.
  • Oversee daily data collection, monitoring of key performance indicators, and timely epidemiological reporting.
  • Manage medical logistics, supply chain forecasting, and rational use of essential medicines and equipment.
  • Coordinate closely with internal sectors and external stakeholders, including government health authorities and humanitarian partners.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree required; additional health-related certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian contexts or health facility supervision.
  • Demonstrated expertise in emergency response, outbreak management, and Ministry of Health structures.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and capacity-building skills with the ability to work under high pressure.
  • Fluency in English with proficiency in the local language highly valued.
