About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja, a premier 500-bed specialty hospital developed by Afreximbank in partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Medical Secretary. In this critical role, you will provide high-level administrative, secretarial, and governance support to our medical committees and research unit, ensuring seamless operations, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness in a world-class healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as official secretary for key medical committees, preparing agendas, recording comprehensive minutes, and tracking action items.
- Provide dedicated administrative support to the research unit, managing study protocols, ethics submissions, and research documentation.
- Compile, organize, and maintain evidence and master repositories for external audits and accreditations such as JCI and ISO.
- Maintain secure, organized, and compliant filing systems for all committee and research records in adherence to data protection standards.
- Handle sensitive institutional information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bachelor's Degree in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a medical secretary or research administrator in an accredited healthcare facility.
- Proven expertise in minute-taking for high-level committees and preparing documentation for external medical audits.
- Exceptional proficiency in medical terminology, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
