About the Role
St. Catherine's Specialist Hospital is a leading private healthcare institution in Nigeria operating multiple multidisciplinary facilities. Since our founding in June 1999 in Port Harcourt, we have expanded to provide medical tourism-standard services, including an ultra-modern branch in Abuja operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scientist to join our dynamic laboratory team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control and safety standards within the laboratory.
- Analyze and interpret test results accurately, reporting findings to attending physicians promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all lab tests and manage inventory of laboratory reagents and supplies.
- B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related field.
- Valid practicing license and current registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- 1 to 3 years of relevant clinical or hospital laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in modern laboratory techniques and automated diagnostic equipment.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
