About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is a dynamic Information Technology company specializing in innovative people screening solutions and objective recruitment processes. We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Records Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate and confidential health records that support efficient clinical care, billing, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient health records in compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage comprehensive records workflows, encompassing patient registration, retrieval, physical and digital filing, coding, and retention.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and data protection in full alignment with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
- Support clinical care, billing, managed-care operations, and institutional reporting through the timely provision of health records.
- Contribute actively to data quality assurance, internal audits, and departmental service improvement initiatives.
- Possess a recognized qualification in Health Information Management, such as a BSc, HND, or Diploma in Health Records.
- Minimum of 4 years of post-registration professional experience in health information and records management.
- Demonstrated completion of mandatory internship, professional registration training, and NYSC (or valid exemption).
- Strong knowledge of health information management practices, clinical coding systems, and data protection obligations.
- Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills for collaborating with clinical and administrative colleagues.
