About the Role

Ascentech Services Ltd is seeking a qualified and compassionate Medical Officer (Critical Care) to join our esteemed client's healthcare facility in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering advanced clinical care, supporting oncology and radiotherapy treatments, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform contouring of target organs for radiotherapy treatment and ensure appropriate CT simulations for treatment planning.
  • Carry out follow-up consultations and treat patients under the authorization of Clinical Oncologists.
  • Advise on laboratory and radiology tests, refer to specialists, and analyze reports to propose clinical management plans.
  • Counsel patients and their families clearly and empathetically while obtaining informed consent.
  • Adhere strictly to departmental policies, infection control standards, and patient privacy guidelines.
  • Participate in tumor board meetings, clinical audits, seminars, and multidisciplinary team collaborations.
  • Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to enhance patient experiences and support educational initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with a valid practicing license in Nigeria.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology, Critical Care, or a related medical specialty.
  • Strong understanding of oncology treatment protocols and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Proven ability to manage clinical audits and lead quality assurance initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Active involvement in professional medical organizations.
