About the Role
Alpine Health is a dynamic organization dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery and securing equitable access to medical solutions across emerging markets. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our growing clinical team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing high-quality, patient-centered medical care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and managing medical emergencies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments for patients.
- Prescribe medications, monitor patient recovery progress, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer appropriate acute care interventions.
- Perform minor medical procedures within the authorized scope of clinical practice.
- Refer complex cases to appropriate medical specialists when clinically necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Participate actively in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and scheduled on-call duties.
- Collaborate seamlessly with nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, and administrative staff.
- Ensure strict compliance with hospital policies, professional medical ethics, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Valid and current practicing license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Successful completion of the mandatory Housemanship (internship) and NYSC program.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical assessment, diagnostic accuracy, and crisis decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a strong advantage.
