About the Role
EHA Clinics is a world-class primary healthcare service provider dedicated to bridging the gap between patients and quality medical services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Kano. In this role, you will utilize state-of-the-art laboratory technologies to perform accurate diagnostic testing, contributing directly to effective patient treatment and positive health outcomes in a professional, tobacco-free environment.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and analyze body fluids, tissue, and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings.
- Perform molecular diagnostics such as PCR using open and closed systems, alongside hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and infectious disease testing including COVID-19.
- Identify and communicate abnormal results promptly to supervisory personnel, physicians, and nursing staff.
- Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment, running standards, controls, routine maintenance, and calibrations to ensure quality results.
- Contribute to a safe, secure, and organized work environment by adhering to established standards, protocols, and infection control measures.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience in a medical laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Valid practicing license and certification from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Demonstrated experience in molecular diagnostic techniques, particularly PCR.
- Strong computer literacy and exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
