About the Role
St. Columbanus Secondary School (SCOSSI) is a prominent co-educational Catholic mission boarding school located in Ikwen, Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Founded in 1959 by the St. Patrick Missionary Fathers, Kiltegan, and operating under the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene, we are dedicated to combining rigorous academic training with moral, spiritual, and character formation. We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Cleaners to join our dedicated support staff and ensure a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning duties across classrooms, dormitories, administrative offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors regularly using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, windows, doors, and institutional fixtures.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, washrooms, and cafeteria facilities throughout the day.
- Properly collect, manage, and dispose of waste and refuse in designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the school administration.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are safely stored and accounted for after use.
- Minimum of First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or SSCE.
- Prior working experience as a cleaner in a school, hotel, or corporate environment is an advantage.
- Good physical health and stamina to handle manual cleaning tasks effectively.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain high standards of hygiene.

- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions reliably.
