About the Role
Zamfara State Government is recruiting a Medical Laboratory Scientist to provide essential laboratory diagnostic services across our healthcare facilities. You will play a vital role in patient care by performing accurate laboratory analyses, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality control standards in a dynamic public health environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive laboratory tests including haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology
- Prepare and analyze patient specimens with precision and accuracy
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver timely diagnostic results
- Adhere to infection control and biosafety procedures
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution
- Completion of one-year mandatory internship programme
- NYSC discharge certificate or exemption documentation
- Valid Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) registration
- Current MLSCN annual practicing license
- Age: 18-40 years at time of application (subject to state policy modifications)
