1501 Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant / Technician to join our growing diagnostic facility in Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Receive, label, and process patient specimens appropriately to ensure integrity and traceability.
- Perform assigned laboratory procedures safely and accurately within the approved scope of practice.
- Assist medical staff with routine laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and laboratory records.
- Participate actively in routine quality control procedures to ensure reliable test outcomes.
- Operate, maintain, and care for laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area at all times.
- Adhere strictly to laboratory safety standards, infection control policies, and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions or operational concerns promptly to the designated supervisor.
- BSc, HND, or OND in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Valid registration and current practicing license with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in a medical diagnostic setting.
- Strong knowledge of routine laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and infection control.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- High level of professionalism, commitment to confidentiality, and dedication to patient safety.
- Competitive monthly salary of ₦80,000.
