We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician / Science Lab Technician to join our dynamic diagnostic team. In this role, you will provide critical support to our medical staff by performing essential laboratory tests, maintaining rigorous quality control, and ensuring accurate reporting of patient results to deliver exceptional healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collecting blood, tissue, and other patient samples safely and professionally.
- Labeling, preparing, and organizing samples for accurate testing.
- Operating and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment such as microscopes and cell counters.
- Performing routine diagnostic tests and analyzing biological samples.
- Monitoring, recording, and escalating critical values in patient laboratory results to physicians and supervisors.
- Ensuring strict adherence to laboratory standards and maintaining quality control of all samples.
- Recording test data accurately within patients' medical records and healthcare reporting systems.
- Performing specialized procedures including matching blood for transfusions and testing for drug levels in the blood.
- Storing and setting up laboratory equipment efficiently for daily operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience as a Medical Lab Technician or Science Lab Technician.
- Relevant certification, degree, or diploma in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols, quality control, and medical record management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss findings clearly with physicians and medical staff.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle critical values under pressure.
