Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate microbiological analyses, cultures, identifications, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing on clinical specimens.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality control standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support prompt and accurate patient diagnosis.
- Manage laboratory reagents, inventory, and meticulous record-keeping of all test results and patient data.
- Participate in departmental research initiatives, continuous professional development programs, and staff training sessions.
- Possess a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Hold a current registration and active practicing license with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria (IMLSN).
- Demonstrate a minimum of 4 years of cognate post-qualification clinical laboratory experience.
