Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist specializing in Chemical Pathology to join our premier healthcare institution. Key Responsibilities- Conduct accurate chemical pathology laboratory tests and analyses to aid in disease diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Maintain meticulous records of all test results, quality control data, and laboratory inventory in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, physicians, and researchers within the hospital environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Participate in departmental training sessions, continuous professional development, and clinical research initiatives.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria (IMLSN).
- Minimum of 4 years cognate post-qualification experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong ICT compliance and proficiency in using laboratory information management systems.
