We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (Hematology) to join our dynamic Laboratories department. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission of advancing medical science and training the next generation of healthcare leaders by delivering accurate diagnostic results in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized hematological laboratory tests and analyses with high precision and adherence to quality control standards.
- Prepare, manage, and maintain laboratory reagents, equipment, and specimens to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Interpret laboratory findings accurately and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital standards and ICT protocols.
- Participate actively in departmental research initiatives, continuous quality improvement programs, and clinical training activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and infection control guidelines within the laboratory environment.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Current professional registration and practicing license with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria (IMLSN).
- Minimum of 4 years of cognate post-qualification experience in a reputable medical laboratory or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency and familiarity with modern hospital information management systems.
