About the Role
The Kwara State Government invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic candidates for the position of Medical House Officer. As a Medical House Officer, you will work under the supervision of experienced consultants and senior medical officers, providing essential patient care while gaining comprehensive clinical exposure across various medical and surgical departments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of senior medical staff.
- Participate actively in ward rounds, emergency duties, and clinical meetings.
- Take accurate medical histories, perform physical examinations, and document patient progress.
- Order and interpret basic diagnostic investigations in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Assist in surgical procedures and emergency resuscitation as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in line with hospital standards.
- Possession of an MBBS or MBChB degree from a recognized university.
- Must possess a provisional registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Certificate of primary or final examinations where applicable, though fresh graduates are welcome.
- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
