Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency patients.
  • Perform and assist with basic surgical procedures within approved scope of practice and ensure proper pre-operative and post-operative management.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, make critical clinical decisions, and monitor admitted patients for continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient records, and collaborate effectively with nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory personnel.
  • Uphold high standards of medical ethics, patient safety, confidentiality, and professional bedside manner at all times.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid, current practicing license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a recognized hospital environment.
  • Demonstrable competence and hands-on experience in performing basic surgical procedures.
  • Ability to reside in hospital-provided accommodation and manage assigned on-call responsibilities.
