About the Role
Sumal Foods Limited, a renowned leader in the Nigerian FMCG sector and manufacturer of iconic household brands like Yale Foods and Vital Foods, is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Doctor to join our corporate healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, promoting occupational health and safety, and ensuring the overall well-being of our high-quality workforce across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt, effective primary medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for employees.
- Conduct pre-employment, routine, and periodic medical examinations for staff members.
- Manage emergency medical situations and coordinate prompt medical evacuation or specialist referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and health documentation for all patients.
- Implement and promote workplace health, safety, and hygiene policies in compliance with Nigerian labor and health standards.
- Organize health awareness campaigns, wellness programs, and preventive healthcare training for employees.
- Supervise clinic operations, manage medical inventory, and oversee the administration of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Possession of an MBBS Degree from a recognized university, both within Nigeria or abroad.
- Mandatory possession of the NYSC Discharge Certificate or an official Exemption Letter.
- Valid registration and current active membership with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
- Current practicing license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of clinical or occupational health experience in a reputable healthcare facility or corporate environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills.
