About the Role
Reliance HMO is a technology-driven health insurance company leveraging software, data science, and telemedicine to make healthcare more affordable and accessible in Nigeria. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in the healthcare delivery system by conducting accurate diagnostic tests, upholding strict quality and safety standards, and ensuring reliable results that aid in disease diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, label, process, and store biological samples such as blood, urine, and tissue with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers to guarantee optimal performance.
- Perform diagnostic tests with high precision, double-check results, and document findings accurately to avoid errors.
- Manage urgent diagnostic requests efficiently to support timely physician-led patient treatment.
- Maintain a clean, sterile workspace and ensure the safe disposal of hazardous waste and sharp objects.
- Contribute to the laboratory’s Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain comprehensive, secure records.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) or BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
- Valid and current practicing license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Completed NYSC with a valid discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Reside within a 10km radius of the clinic location or possess the ability to easily commute daily.
- Certification in Quality Management Systems and familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software are added advantages.
