University of Ilesa (UNILESA) Teaching Hospital, formed through the strategic upgrade of the historic Ilesa General Hospital by the Osun State Government, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Consultant in Orthopaedic and Traumatology. Key Responsibilities- Provide expert medical and surgical care for patients with orthopaedic conditions, bone fractures, and severe traumatic injuries.
- Lead ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency trauma management with high clinical standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical officers, and undergraduate medical students.
- Participate actively in departmental research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient rehabilitation and recovery.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Hold a postgraduate fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (e.g., FWACS, FMC Orth, or equivalent professional qualification).
- Current valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in managing complex orthopaedic and trauma cases.
