Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical and surgical care for patients with orthopaedic conditions, bone fractures, and severe traumatic injuries.
  • Lead ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency trauma management with high clinical standards.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical officers, and undergraduate medical students.
  • Participate actively in departmental research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient rehabilitation and recovery.
Qualifications
  • Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Hold a postgraduate fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (e.g., FWACS, FMC Orth, or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Current valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in managing complex orthopaedic and trauma cases.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
