About the Role
University of Ilesa - UNILESA Teaching Hospital was formed by the Osun State government upgrading the historic Ilesa General Hospital. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to provide exceptional clinical care, contribute to medical education, and drive healthcare excellence within our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized obstetric and gynaecological care to patients at the teaching hospital.
- Supervise, train, and mentor resident doctors, medical officers, and medical students.
- Participate in departmental research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety standards.
- Manage complex emergency cases and provide expert medical consultations as required by the hospital.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Hold relevant postgraduate professional fellowship qualifications (e.g., FWACS, FMCOG, or equivalent).
- Current valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated clinical experience and a strong track record in obstetrics and gynaecology practice.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
