University of Ilesa - UNILESA Teaching Hospital, established through the strategic upgrade of the historic Ilesa General Hospital by the Osun State government, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Consultant in Internal Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Provide expert medical consultations, diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment plans for patients within the Internal Medicine department.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical officers, and medical students.
- Participate actively in departmental clinical meetings, mortality reviews, and grand rounds.
- Conduct clinical research and contribute to evidence-based medical practices within the teaching hospital.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and hospital standards.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Must be a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCP) in Internal Medicine, or equivalent foreign qualifications.
- Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated clinical experience and a strong publication record will be an added advantage.
