The University of Ilesa Teaching Hospital (UNILESA), established through the upgrade of the historic Ilesa General Hospital by the Osun State Government, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Medical Consultant in Family Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Provide expert medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across all age groups within the Family Medicine department.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical students, and other allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary clinical meetings, ward rounds, and emergency duty rotations as scheduled by the hospital management.
- Conduct clinical research and contribute to evidence-based medical practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to clinical governance, medical ethics, and quality assurance standards within the hospital.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Must be a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCP) or West African Postgraduate Medical College (FWACP) in Family Medicine, or hold equivalent internationally recognized postgraduate qualifications.
- Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
