University of Ilesa - UNILESA Teaching Hospital invites applications from qualified and dynamic medical professionals for the position of Medical Consultant - Community Medicine. Formed by the Osun State government through the upgrade of the historic Ilesa General Hospital, our institution is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services, advanced medical training, and impactful community health interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy services in community medicine and public health.
- Design, implement, and evaluate community-based health programs and preventive medicine initiatives.
- Participate in the training, mentoring, and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Conduct high-impact research aimed at improving healthcare delivery and health outcomes in Osun State and beyond.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and governmental agencies on public health policies.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Must possess relevant postgraduate fellowship qualifications (e.g., FMCGP, FWACP, or equivalent) in Community Medicine.
- Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated clinical experience and a strong publication record in public health research are highly advantageous.
