We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Pathology Consultant to lead diagnostic laboratory services, mentor resident doctors, and contribute to the growth of our medical college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical and laboratory consultation in Chemical Pathology to support accurate disease diagnosis and patient management.
  • Supervise, interpret, and validate laboratory tests and assays related to metabolic and biochemical disorders.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical ward rounds, departmental meetings, and hospital committees.
  • Teach, train, and mentor medical students, resident doctors, and allied health professionals within the university teaching hospital framework.
  • Conduct impactful clinical and translational research to advance the field of chemical pathology and healthcare delivery.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control, quality assurance, and safety protocols within the chemical pathology laboratory.
Qualifications
  • Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Hold a postgraduate fellowship in Chemical Pathology (e.g., FMCPath, WAPCP, or equivalent international qualifications).
  • Current valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice, laboratory management, and academic teaching.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to medical ethics.
