About the Role
Prime Atlantic Limited, a leading wholly Nigerian-owned oil and gas servicing company established in 2003, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technician III to join our dynamic team. Operating under an onshore rotation schedule of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off, this role is crucial for delivering comprehensive, high-standard engineering solutions to the energy industry across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate workloads accurately to establish reliable project completion dates and assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Help prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates while reviewing job packs and actively utilizing on-the-job safety tools.
- Identify potential safety issues associated with tasks, ensuring thorough mitigation prior to commencing work.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently, record technical history in the Global Reliability Tool (GRT), and provide actionable feedback for job pack improvements.
- Request necessary work permits promptly, notifying supervisors immediately if permits cannot be issued within the stipulated timeframe.
- Discipline-appropriate professional certifications or equivalent documented industry experience within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend effective remediation steps.
- Demonstrated team player mentality, exhibiting strong collaboration skills and a willingness to assist others across cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to adapt seamlessly to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent priority changes.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software programs for documentation and reporting.
