About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Technician II to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing plant and pipeline maintenance, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining our high standards of safety and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Assist mechanical engineers in planning, testing, and maintaining mechanical components, equipment, and machinery such as engines and controls.
- Help prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Actively participate in all on-the-job safety tools, review job packs, and identify potential hazards for mitigation prior to execution.
- Execute maintenance work as planned and record technical history using systems like the Global Reliability Tool (GRT).
- Provide actionable feedback on job pack improvements to the Execution Front Line Supervisor.
- Request necessary work permits and promptly notify supervisors of any delays exceeding standard timelines.
- Discipline-appropriate professional certification(s) or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps clearly.
- Proven team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
