About the Role
Jite Projekts Limited is a leading provider of piling and civil engineering services, currently expanding our operations across Nigeria. As part of this growth, we are inviting skilled international professionals from countries including Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Egypt, and other regions with robust foundations in geotechnical engineering to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an expert Bentonite Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity of our deep foundation and piling projects through rigorous slurry management and quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee all daily bentonite and slurry operations on site.
- Operate and maintain bentonite mixing plants and slurry recycling systems.
- Monitor and control slurry density, viscosity, and other critical parameters.
- Conduct regular testing including Marsh funnel testing and sand content testing.
- Supervise the operation of desanders and desilting plants to ensure optimal fluid performance.
- Establish, implement, and maintain strict bentonite quality control procedures.
- Collaborate closely with site managers, geotechnical engineers, and drilling crews.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnics, Mining, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience managing bentonite operations in piling or civil works.
- Proven technical expertise with bentonite mixing, slurry density control, and recycling systems.
- Familiarity with standard testing methods such as Marsh funnel and sand content analysis.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in quality assurance.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced construction environment and work effectively within multicultural teams.
