About the Role
Prime Atlantic Limited, a wholly Nigerian-owned industry leader established in 2003, delivers comprehensive solutions to the oil and gas sector across Sub-Saharan Africa. We are currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician I to join our dynamic team on an onshore rotation schedule of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing vital maintenance and repair tasks while upholding our uncompromising commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools and identify and mitigate safety issues prior to commencing work.
- Review job packs thoroughly and provide constructive feedback for improvements to the Execution FLS.
- Execute scheduled maintenance work, integrity repairs, and process valve replacements efficiently.
- Record technical history accurately using the Global Reliability Tool (GRT) and relevant data sheets.
- Request necessary work permits and promptly notify supervisors of any issuance delays.
- Coordinate rigging and lifting requirements and lead construction teams during specific facility repairs.
- Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Certified in specialized skills related to rigging, lifting, and welding.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent priority changes.
