About the Role
Homeland Integrated Offshore Services Limited is a leading indigenous multidisciplinary organization delivering top-tier Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation services across the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Technician I to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the operational reliability and integrity of our offshore assets while adhering to the highest industry standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate in the utilization of all on-the-job safety tools and protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- Review comprehensive job packs and identify potential safety hazards, ensuring complete risk mitigation prior to commencing any task.
- Execute assigned mechanical maintenance work efficiently and in strict accordance with the established operational plans.
- Accurately record technical history and equipment data using systems such as the Global Reliability Tool (GRT) and relevant technical data sheets.
- Provide actionable feedback to the Execution Frontline Supervisor (FLS) regarding job pack improvements and field enhancements.
- Request necessary work permits promptly and notify supervisors immediately if permits cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time.
- Discipline-appropriate technical certification(s) or equivalent professional hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely describe field conditions and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
- Strong team player mentality, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and assist colleagues willingly.
- High adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent shifts in operational priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software programs for reporting and documentation.
