We are currently looking for a talented Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Nigeria and play a vital role in keeping our production lines running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications.
- Carry out preventive, condition-based, and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for mechanical faults.
- Analyze data and equipment performance records to identify areas for improvement and optimize machine efficiency.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, machine safety checks, and repair records.
- Collaborate closely with controllers, engineers, and production teams to address mechanical issues and improve system performance.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during all maintenance and repair work.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- HND or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and rapidly resolving complex mechanical faults.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a manufacturing environment.
