About the Role
JCP MAX Medical Diagnostics is a leading diagnostic centre offering comprehensive medical investigation services across laboratory testing, 2D/3D/4D ultrasound imaging, colour Doppler scans, X-ray radiography, and electrocardiography. We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our technical support team and maintain the highest standards of equipment functionality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing on diagnostic equipment including ultrasound machines, X-ray systems, and ECG devices
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in laboratory and imaging equipment
- Conduct equipment calibration and performance testing to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records for all equipment
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure equipment meets operational standards
- Install new equipment and conduct staff training on proper usage
- Perform troubleshooting and component replacement as needed
- Relevant National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in medical equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in diagnostic equipment servicing (ultrasound, X-ray, ECG systems)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of equipment safety standards and protocols
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Professional certification in medical equipment maintenance is advantageous
